About a week ago, I promised an Avalanche update. And today I have that video for you!
Although AVAX has followed the rest of the market lower, the project itself seems to be going from strength to strength.
Avalanche's primary appeal comes from the fact that it's C Chain blockchain which runs its smart contracts leverages the Ethereum Virtual Machine. This makes it easy for Ethereum devs to port over their dApps, and for Ethereum users to plug and play using Metamask.
What's interesting is that Avalanche's EVM is slightly modified, meaning it can handle around 1500 transactions per second compared to the 300-400 tps that most other EVMs are constrained to due to their code. Don't ask me why or how – I'm just a regular crypto Guy!
In any case, Avalanche has managed to attract nearly 2 million users since it's main net launched and most of these were added over the last few months. With around half a million monthly active users and over 10 billion dollars in total value locked, AVAX is looking good!
That's all I'll say here. You'll have to watch the video to get the whole story, and trust me when I say that it's not all sunshine and rainbows. Avalanche faces some fierce competition from other cryptocurrencies like Fantom.
