Hey Guys,
It's been another wild week in crypto and I'm here, as always, to sum it up and tell you what it all means going forward.
Before I break down the video though, I want to give a shout out to the US government for passing the ‘Inflation Protection Act' which is expected to cost anywhere between 340 and 700 billion dollars and do absolutely nothing to stop inflation. Politicians, am I right?
Jokes aside, we have some pretty exciting stuff coming up this week. Besides earnings for Coinbase and Ethereum's final merge test net, the official inflation figures for July will be coming out on Wednesday. Investors are watching this closely because if inflation comes in hot, it could mean the Fed will raise rates more aggressively when they return from their break in September.
Conversely, if inflation comes in cold i.e. below expectations, then we're likely to see a rally, and I happen to be an optimistic here. Oil and gas prices seem to have come down just enough to move the needle (in some places anyhow).
The best part is there's billions of dollars of stablecoins waiting on the sidelines to buy, including institutional investors like Blackrock thanks to its Coinbase partnership.
