Hey Guys,
I've been reading a lot about the metaverse these days, and Grayscale's recent metaverse report caught my eye. This is because Grayscale is the largest asset manager in cryptocurrency, and it's a subsidiary of the largest company in cryptocurrency (DCG).
When I did some digging, I was surprised to find that DCG has been bullish on the Metaverse since 2017, and they've been investing into metaverse projects since 2018 via Metaverse Ventures, another DCG subsidiary.
Interestingly, almost all of DCG's attention has been on Decentraland, and this bias can be clearly seen in Grayscale's metaverse report in my opinion. Even so, it did contain a few very valuable points about just how big the metaverse industry could become.
One thing Grayscale's metaverse report did not cover however is the risks associated with the metaverse. Luckily, Grayscale's Decentraland report from March did include a page about potential risks, and I reckon these can be applied to other metaverse cryptos as well.
Today's video is basically a compilation of all this information and more. Think of it as being complimentary to my recent video about the metaverse and all the exiting projects within it.
