Hey Guys,
If you follow me on Twitter you might recall me asking about what you want me to cover in my upcoming Polygon update. I couldn't help but notice that a few of you are concerned about what will happen to Polygon after Ethereum transitions to proof of stake.
The short answer is that it's going to be bullish for MATIC, but that's not the only milestone that could take this token to the moon.
As many of you will know, Polygon is one of Ethereum's most popular scaling solutions and it has spared no expense in expanding Ethereum's scaling ability.
This is starting to pay off as Polygon has managed to secure unprecedented partnerships with Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and bunch of other legacy companies and institutions from NFTs to digital ID and supply chain solutions.
The caveat is that Polygon's rapid expansion as well as the comments that have been made by some of its co-founders could attract the attention of regulators. Polygon itself seems to be almost entirely located within India which has been explicit in its intention to ban crypto in anticipation of the rollout of its digital rupee later this year and early next year.
In sum, Polygon finds itself at the end of two extremes: unbelievable adoption, but also unbelievable regulator risks. Will rewards outweigh the risks in the coming months?
