Hey Guys,
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been in the news a lot lately, and this reminded me about how much he's been ragging on about population collapse. So, I decided to take a look at some stats for myself and see if he is on to something there. In short, he definitely is.
While many of us have been taught that there's a huge risk of overpopulation, in reality the population is already declining in most of the world. Not only that, but the population could peak as soon as 2060 and decline from there.
This is obviously going to have serious implications on just about everything. To humanists like Elon, a shortage of humans means that there will be less creativity and innovation, and it reduces the likelihood that our species will survive, which Elon wants to see.
This one's for Elon!
