If you follow me on Twitter you'll know that I asked for your feedback about what I should cover in my upcoming Solana update. I'm here to deliver, and I'm happy to say that I took most of your feedback into consideration when making the video.
This is mainly because Solana has been getting a lot of bad press lately, and deservedly so. It's blockchain keeps going offline, Solana wallets and DeFi protocols are getting hacked, and it seems that the project is even starting to face some regulatory scrutiny.
Why then do I hold SOL as part of my portfolio? Well, it's mostly because it's the optimal hedge against something going horribly wrong with Ethereum's transition to proof of stake in September. Solana seems to be the top contender, for better or for worse.
