If you follow Whale Alert on Twitter, you're probably seen a few of those massive USDT prints. Of course, the assumption is that these prints could be pumping the crypto market, but have you ever wondered who the hell is actually buying all of these stablecoins?
As it turns out, a relatively new crypto media company made it their mission to find out, and they recently published their ‘Tether Papers' which identifies the largest purchasers of USDT across 8 different blockchains all the way back to when the first USDT token was printed.
When it comes to reports like these, I try and do my due diligence to see who's behind it. That's because there's a lot of bias in the crypto industry, and you never know if what you're reading is paid propaganda from a competitor.
This doesn't seem to be the case with this report, and when I did some digging into the company behind it, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they're based here in London! Protos Media seems to be funded by its founder who sold his previous news venture.
Protos worked on this report for 5 months, and I honestly don't want to spoil any of the findings here because they're just too crazy. The detail is astonishing, and the connections will make you think.
