If there is one thing that you will have noticed recently from my content, it's that I have taken a particular interest in the GameFi / NFT / Metaverse space
Following my introductory video on the Metaverse and its conceptual development throughout history, literature and, now, blockchain, I deemed it only reasonable to go the extra mile here and give you Guys my insights on the top virtual land projects in the space right now.
Now, as mentioned in a newsletter a few weeks back, I find virtual land to be perhaps one of the most fascinating environments in blockchain and NFTs at present. This is primarily because metaverse real estate can be viewed as an ultimate symbiosis of non-fungible token technology, Decentralised Finance and GameFi.
In addition to this and apart from the never-ending hype that the Metaverse has been generating as of late, many well-established and new blockchain-based gaming protocols are starting to properly emphasise the importance of their respective land ecosystems. This is a sentiment that is made clear by the record-breaking virtual land purchases made by both retail and institutional investors in the last few weeks.
In the video I have for you today, I will be discussing the topographic features within the Axie Infinity, Decentraland, The Sandbox, Bit.Country and Aavegotchi ecosystems.
These are, in my opinion, the projects boasting the most sophisticated land architectures, the most intriguing gamified elements, the best NFT land infrastructures and the highest amounts of on-chain trading volume.
Now, it's important to point out that I currently don't hold any Virtual Land in my portfolio and have no affiliation with any of these projects. However, I may be looking to move into the space and will of course keep you guys fully updated.
Also, before you decide to “Ape” into land NFTs, you should know that not every project developing its land economy is guaranteed to succeed in the long-run. So, do keep that in mind.
